Eskom has issued a tender or the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a 72 MW solar plant to be developed at the Komati Power Station site in Mpumalanga province, eastern South Africa.

The selected contractor will be awarded a three-year turnkey contract, funded by the World Bank. The contract includes an 18-month phase for design, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning, followed by an additional 18 months of operations and maintenance.

A virtual pre-application meeting is scheduled for August 14. Interested parties must submit expressions of interest by post no later than September 30. Eskom plans to issue the full request for proposals in November. Tender details can be found here https://tenderbulletin.eskom.co.za/tender/92442.
